Now accepting new clients!
Braeden’s journey in the design world really began when they decided to dive into the industry of hairstyling. Braeden graduated from Seattle’s Aveda Institute in 2011 and went on to complete a working apprenticeship at VAIN salon, where they developed a solid foundation in haircutting and color from the industries most seasoned mentors.
Over 13 years experience behind the chair, Braeden specializes in color and color corrections, as well as curly, textured, and straight razor haircutting . From bold effects to effortless and natural, Braeden is your project queen. “Masters of Balayage” certified, Braeden is currently wild about blonding and creating those stunning natural looks.
Braeden’s philosophy around hair revolves around working with naturally existing textures and pigments, to enhance a style that is hidden beneath, rather than forcing a look that just ends in frustration.
“Your look might be an investment up front, but it should also provide you high-performance, longevity, and grow out beautifully.”
Braeden loves to educate clients on tips and tricks to elevate their at-home hair routines.
Throughout their travels and moving from place to place, Braeden utilized their ingenuity and creativity to create beautifully designed and functional work spaces to best serve clients. Braeden relied on their sense of style (in combination with their experience with construction and building skills from a young age with Braeden’s contractor father) to transform bland and dated spaces into places of wonder and artistic splendor. Braeden’s approach in every space is to make it feel like magic, top to bottom, inside and out, down to the very last detail.
“Spaces have the ability to transport people to an entirely different time and reality… I treat each of my spaces as portals that always subtly suggest and invite you to imagine your life and who you are in a new way.”
One of Braeden’s long time hair clients happened to be an interior designer, and after having experienced several of these space transformations herself, she invited Braeden to apprentice with her and learn the business of Interior Design. While working with his mentor on interior projects, Braeden also sought out other education in landscape, permaculture, and Japanese garden design and philosophy. Pulling together all of Braeden’s strengths, interests, passions, and skills… Intentional Living was created to provide a platform for the multi-faceted and unique package of special offerings that Braeden has to share.
Braeden’s artistic skillset is very multi-dimensional. They have a strong eye for sculptural design, as well as color theory and spatial reasoning. Braeden is gifted with the vision of seeing things take shape, form, and color before they happen; it’s this vision that drives them from project to project. Braeden loves to push at the edges and limitations, to look at hair and spaces as what it holds the potential for and all that it could be.
Hair design is currently Braeden’s bread & butter, but they are always open to collaborating on new projects and talking with people about how to bring their dream spaces to life.
